Todreamalife Awarded AI-in-Medicine Grant

Stanford Medicine’s Presence Center created an AI in Medicine: Inclusion and Equity initiative. They were concerned about how AI is to be applied in medicine, and the pitfalls of developing algorithms in vulnerable populations.

The Presence initiative is led by Sonoo Thanaday and Dr. Abraham Verghese two genius social innovators.

Dr. Abraham Verghese receiving National Humanities medal in 2016.

After Presence hosted a genius-studded symposium in Aug 2018, they put out an open call for $25k seed grants for research teams to study these issues and develop more thoughtful algorithms.

Todreamalife wrote an article about the ideas in the symposium and then applied and was just awarded a seed grant for the Empulse project!
